Don't tell anyone, but that "same old bow with different paint job" is really a stealth deer magnet. Excalibur keeps it hush/hush because then the couldn't keep up with demand and the deer heards would be decimated. They
Have taken great pains to infuse deer crack cocaine in the carbon fibre, which is legal in Ontario because it isn't made of deer bodily fluids. It may even be synthetic crack for I know, I'm just an outsider thats been fed only the tiniest details. The rail has been fitted with a black hole that causes a loss of gravity, thus drawing anything it is pointed at ( incase the deer is too far for the crack to take effect) This bow not only casts a spell on fuzzy creatures, it works it's magic on hairless apes as well. It is said that any owner becomes a arrow flinging crossbow ninja(up to 40 yards). Brutes of all nature fall victim to the powers of the machine that is THE EXLIPSE!!!

Heed the warning, only the deadly serious need apply. Don I will need close-up pictures of that fine machine since I am far too fragil to arm myself with one.

As Laura pointed out, it has an errie effect on the undead as well. Dont ask me, I dont know how she found that out!! or how many living dead people she comes accross in her daily routine. I think she may have her gravity defying blackhole vortex set on reverse? but should any of those living impaired make their way accross the border from Michigan to Ontario I may very well buy this bow. I like the way it looks! People have been asking excalibur for a all black crossbow for years and this has been their answer. Its not for the timid or leg dragging zombies, But it is for those with a heartbeat and great taste.

The Eclipse comes as a Light Stuff Kit so kit to kit there is an $80.00 difference. It's a bargain! It's even more of a bargain if you thought about dipping.
I really think this "pattern" is a better way to go. If you look up into the skyline black is pretty much the same as any camo. But like someone said earlier it's going to be better in a ground blind.
John, I agree someone but it's usually precipitated by cloudy thoughts and jealously.   Yes pun intended!

That Eclipse is old news to me. I had the proto-type version of it back in 2003. The problem was, with my skill and its charm, it attracted too many cloven hooved denizen. After knocking down more than my share and fearing  the decimation of the herd, I thought it best to offer it to someone, with less talent, who needed the extra advantage of its animal magnetism. Now you know how Don became the proud owner for this wonderful beast.

I have to say that I am really agitated now after seeing this post. I was perfectly happy with my Vortex and was completely unaware of the Eclipse until Boo's post. Now I have gone from being dumb, stupid and content to a point of envy. The new paint job is awesome and I have a case of the gimmee gimmee want wants. Oh my dreams will be troubled tonight (will I see zombies and not be able to defend myself with the Vortex).
