Excal. Dovetail Quiver Bracket

Post by Onetimeonly x--> »

Last year I took off the original quiver bracket
off my bow. I went out and purchased a nice hunting
hip quiver, well made. Turned out to be more of a pain
in the a$$ in the field! A few months back I picked up
the Dovetail Bracket and I am very pleased! Don't see
very much talk about this bracket so I thought I would
share my opinion. It's a great option for those who want
to keep their bows looking clean. Nice accessory.

i installed one last month on my axiom. i have mixed opinions on it. i usually just carry my quiver and thought this would be a good option. i bought the smf axiom because of its light weight and is currently my favorite xbow. the dovetail is one nice hunk of metal. probably dont weigh much but it still bothers me its there.for hunting purposes it has some issues with sliding on and off the xbow especially in low light. the quiver with the mount needs to slide off the dovetail and its kinda tight sliding it on and off. the metal rail washers are very close and about the same height as the mount.im thinking that hanging the whole monster while in my tree stand will be a pain. the quiver with the metal bracket attached makes it handle alot different than the quiver alone.it also can make metal on metal noise assembling and pulling off the xbow.gonna try it this season and decide.

I came to hate attached quivers in my V-bow days and still do. Use a hip quiver to put my stuff in but I just carry it. Set it down in the stand while hunting, or put it on the tail gate of the truck while target shooting. :)

I've never been happy with anything on my bow with the Danny Miller quiver mount being the best. For the last few years I've been using this.

I use rancho safari cats quiver's for my xbow and compound, two different ones because of stick length, they are adjustable

Guess I'm just more high tech than most of you guys,... I use an old boot lace to tie the std quiver to my belt. It gets me from truck to stand just fine. I wear a "black ninja suit w/hood, snake boots and a boot lace quiver" , bet a video would win something on" Americas Funniest Home Videos".
