I was using the G5 Striker for a few years now and am quite happy. This year I am using a 125 gr 2.25 Swhacker. My favorite arrow shaft is the Carbon Express Maxima Hunter with fletchings replaced with Blazers using an Arizona EZ Fletch Bolt. No brass inserts!

hi from derf, i use big john custom bolts. which are gold tip lasers II , brass fronts, 2'' blasers, with arrow wraps. i use 100gr wasp boss or 100gr muzzy broad heads, both are 3 blade. use to use the fire bolts but found these so much more accurate . i also use a equinox. regards derf

The 'old' Gt's w/ a wrap and 100 gr points are about 446 gr and settle the Emax down some while still giving acceptible fps............

My nox shoots the GT Laser 3 with 110 gr. brass insert with the 4in. duravane. Am going to change to 2in. blazers after the season. The duravanes shoot great but take a beating when target shooting. The blazers are supposed to be a lot more durable ( according to Boo) so I am going to refletch after the season. The heavy FOC GT bolts fly really good, even in a brisk wind.

I shoot an equinox and switched to 22 inch easton power bolts for safety reasons After hunting last year i was uncocking my bow with the rope cocker and forgot to unload it first and almost put the bolt through my foot
The longer bolt will not allow me to get my boot in the stirrup with out it hitting the bolt . I highly recommend 22 inch bolts for the 225 lb bows for this reason.

I have the Exomax and use the Lazer II Pro with the 2" broadhead vanes it comes with. I use 125gr G5 Strikers for hunting deer. Am very happy with this combo.

That's because there is no right or wrong answer.
Lot's of good options for arrow and BH combos.

Many manufacturers have stepped up and delivered quality products.

Do a search on the forum as there are many topics here on your question.

Choose an arrow and point with good FOC and then site it in.
After that have fun shooting and be safe.

I have great performance with Easton Power Bolts after I changed the aluminum inserts to 100gr brass inserts. Just got some GT Laser Pro III's; fletched with 2" blasers vanes right hand offset helical, 100gr brass inserts. They shoot terrific. So good I almost ruined two of them by shooting at the same spot. Was thinking about trying some Easton FMJ's but no need to do that now Between the Power Bolts and the GT Laser Pro III's I am good to go!

Excalibur makes it tough to select arrows and arrow components. Just about anything you lay on the deck shoots well.

I use aluminum arrows I make myself, and they shoot good, too.

Right now I'm shooting a Phoenix with arrows at about 390gr total weight. Haven't put them through a chronograph, don't really see much need to. I tend to keep shots close and I have no worries about shooting them at a deer inside 30 yards.
