Vortex takes an 11 point buck

I have had several trail camera pictures of the buck but had seen him only once before last Friday evening. A doe came into my opening and walked right in front of me at about 22 yards. I was about to take her when the buck came out of the timber with his nose on her trail. He came right to her and presented me with a perfect broadside shot at 23 yards. I saw the Luminock go through his vital area. He ran back into the timber and then I heard him go down in the leaves. He went about 50 yards before piling up. He was an 11 pointer with one tine broken off. Not a lot of mass but a very respectful set of antlers. We just finished cutting and packaging his loins - they will provide us with some delicious meals. The bucks are just starting to chase in our part of Illinois. He is the third deer I have taken this season with my Vortex.
