Well the poor guy is up and out of bed. He's alive and not happy but the key word is alive! You can expect no less from one bypass let alone 5!
Give him a call boys and girls, he needs the support! Besides, while he's talking he can't harass the nurses!

If he is frisky enough to harass the nurses he is probably in pretty good shape. Maybe I need a bypass?

Give him some time. The incisions and the sternum hurt for the first few weeks. Grumpiness goes with hurt. It's nothing personal, It hurts to move, breathe deep and cough and you've got to so the lungs clear and expand. Best wishes and heal well brother, in 3 months you'll be a lot better and best of all you will be driving again

I just talked to Wes and he sounded real well. He said that he would feel better if he didn"t have to take all their "damn drugs".
He seemed to appreciate the fact that I also had quintuple bypass surgery 7 years ago and that it has allowed me to do as much, if not more, than most others my age. I also told him that each day gets a little better than the previous day. Keep him in your prayers' that his recovery will be even better than my own.

Thanks for the updates Boo & Jim . . .I hadn't talk to Wes since Thursday. I thought I'd give him a few days to mend, but, yesterday I awoke with a little bit of a sore throat and everytime I get to talkin, I start coughing . . .and there isn't any talking to Wes for just a minute or two. :)

Anyway, Wes, still praying for you and I'll call you soon.
