Has anyone used this broadhead and if so what are your feeling about it. You can look at it at www.flyingarrowmontana.com
It looks like a really awesome broadhead and it leaves almost 5" of cutting surface.
I am thinking of buying a set of them and need input.
Thanks

I have seen those types of BH's come n go fer yers. They're more eye catchin than function, or another of the Gimmick style. I ain't sayin they don't work nor that they won't kill! I am sayin i ain't layin out $45 fer a pack to try jus to lose money on

I've been testing some of these for a couple of weeks. When I first got them and actually was able to see first had; I was a bit skeptical about their strength and toughness. I have to say I am very impressed. Accuracy is same as my field tips, flight is as good as my favorite Slick Tricks. Haven't had the opportunity to test them on a live deer but on a road kill carcass they are amazing, 100% penetration at all distancesa from 20 to 50yds, and leaves a hole like a 3/4" drain pipe. Goes through ribs and other bones like they are butter. They are very tough and hold up as good, if not better than other broadheads. The blades have similar to a spring action where they compress through bone and return to full diameter after passing through. I shot one through some 1" plywood a few times and the head was fine. Two minor downsides: They are absolutely destructive to a target block and they definitely are expensive. If you lose an arrow, hit a rock or bury it in a tree it's a minimum of $15.00 loss.
I can't wait until season to whack a tick toter or two to see how the perform. I exoect they will do one helluva good job

Re: Toxic Broadhead from Flying Arrow Archery
I will be using them this fall and will give a report after my 1st kill with them. They are the most awesome looking tip that I have seen and if they kill as I feel they will then they are every bit worth the few bucks that I will pay for them. I will not have to worry about the mechanical blades not opening. I have seen this happen a lot if you do not work on the tips to make them open. You pay good money for a good bow but want to scrimp on arrowheads. It is like buuying low brass for turkey or buying high brass for a good cartridge. Don't understand the logic.
