R.E.D.S. Supplied Set Screws Wrong Threading

Post by va3cgt »

I have a Matrix 355 and stopped into my local bow shop and bought the REDS system. The supplied set screws are slightly smaller then the thread on the xbow. As a result they just spin in the threaded hole.

Definitely a machining defect on the bow. Both set screw holes oversized.

A simple phone call to Dawn @ Excalibur will set this straight in a hurry!

They are the same threads as the ones that hold the quiver bracket to the main frame.

It sounds like the wrong size screws were mistakenly packaged with your R.E.D.S. Please call Dawn 800-463-1817 ext. 204 and she will get you the correct size set screws. Sorry for the problem.
