Yep. Longer bolts work fine. Different mount here but same principal. S5s are installed.

I'm not sure on the Matrix, but I had to make my mount extend back for the reason you mentioned. It can now stay on when being cocked.

Thanks Taz, how did you extend the bracket back? Can you get us a close up pic?

The more compact Martix looks to be more challenging for the top mount. DM's setup should work well with the better balanced Matrix.

That is a Caldwell Deadshot Fieldpod. Works well as a benchrest for rifle sight in or as a crossbow rest in a blind.

Hello, I am working on a similar project. My question is how you were able to tighten the mount into the riser enough so the post does not rotate. Both on the riser and on the default quiver mount plate. When I fasten my mounting plate to the post the plastic of the plate always has too much give, and the quiver will rotate the mounting plate on the bolt being used to fasten it to the post I made. Any advice on how to fasten it would be appreciated.

Also interested in the kwikee kwiver, how is the mounting plate designed on that? are you able to stop it from rotating?

thanks

There is knotching on the top of the post on the plastic quiver mount and a star washer on the bottom. You will mar the surface of the riser a little but will never be seen if you stick with that quiver mount. For the price I would just buy Danny's mount.

Ok, I got it to work, turns out my bolt threading was bottoming out and not allowing me to tighten it enough
