Adding a Lumenok

Post by the canuck »

Just wondering if there is a way to add a Lumenok to my existing Diablo arrows?

You should be able to without much trouble.

Remove the existing nock.
Clean any glue residue from the inside of the shaft.
Install Lumenok following the instructions on the package.

There is a list of arrows on their website that you can look up to see which size Lumenok you need to use.

Takes a few minutes but it's pretty simple to do.

Good luck. :)

I have tried getting on their website but no luck. I bought a Lumenok that said it fit Beman carbon bolts, it was the only one that Mills Fleet farm had, that is .297 . I tried to put it in a Firebolt last night and it fits too loose. It will work but is loose enough that when I load the bolt in my Axiom it turns on just from that presure and I fear that it might just fall out in flight. What size do I need, or should I just order 3 of the Lumenok bolts brom Burt Coyote and be done with it?

The i.d. of the Diablo is .303". Lumenok models GTC and GTF are .300" in diameter which you could try to shim with a thin strip of paper. You can also try buying the next size up of nock which is .306" and shave or whittle it down to a tight fit.

Good luck!

Edit...
Sorry! Read Diablo instead of Firebolt but same applies. Measure the I.d. Of the arrow and go from there.
Happy Hunting!!!

The lumenoks for the Gold Tips are .301. I shaved a tad of plastic off and they fit the Firebolts and Black Eagles fine and I can turn them off with finger pressure.
Look for Gold Tip Flat - GTF3.
