Not in the rings...5 pieces of a can won't do it, imho. You need to start from scratch w/ Opti installed and tops of scope rings [no scope] parallel to the rail.

Next, install scope and sight in at 20 yds. Maybe start at 10 yds, we we're twisting the heck out of both scopes elevations adjs.

I don't care for, nor do I know much about the Opti systems, but it seems to me that you were at the limits of the furthest range adj w/ the tape on 20 yds.

Maybe one complete revolution of the wheel off? Dunno, but common sense tells me that to adj for farther than 20 yd ranges, it tips the scope down at the objective lens. Yours was way tipped, lol.

I googled HHA and read the non copyable instructions. They have a tape for sighting in, lost interest at that point, lol.

You're a woman w/ supposedly all the answers, I'm a man w/ only half the questions........

We'll start from scratch and see what we can do with what we've got. I have the sight-in tape for the HHA - it's for determining which speed tape to adhere to the dial. The tape on my now dial is for 290-305 fps (shooting angled riser).

Won't likely get to the range for a while because I'm booked pretty solid, but will let ya know how things work out.

I'm a woman in a man's world.... grateful for answers (and questions!) Tipping my new red hat. :D

We all have our crosses to bare  ........Best of luck w/ the equipment addition......There's some fascination in yard by yard changes that must escape me when it's all a guessing game at best..........22 or 27 yds? I'd shoot 25 and forget it......

If I were hunting I absolutely wouldn't bother with the HHA.

On the 3D course the guess of 22-27 yds might make the dif between 5 and 12 points... can make or break tournement placing just on one target. Make that x 40 targets and my Vixen and I could be waaay behind the big bad bows.

And you know how we gals need all the help we can get!

I should add that I love the instant feedback that shooting single crosshairs with the HHA gives me on a course. It's a training tool. I know immediately when my range estimation is off and can adjust my best guess for future shots.

Not that I'm competitive or anything.

mine was 31 on the sight tape .It is perfect out to what ever i set the dial on to .53 yards or 41 yards .Its persice on my bow the way it's done .My coke can worked real well ,it was shooting high ,couldnt get any lower ,so i raised the front to accommodate the difference .raising the front dropped the rail down .to where i need it to be ,I gained 5 '' by doing this .Now everything is normal ,can go up or down with no issues and room to spare on the clicks .
I had counted all the clicks from all the way up and down ,to see how many clicks ,fergot ,but i gained to half of what i had at first.

It's a perfect shootin 380 .real percise shooting .at any range even or odd numbers

Been shooting every day and nothing changes anywhere, perfect shooting x bow..
I also used a scope allignment bar for the rings .

Bingo, buddy! You just validated my suggestion to a 'T' in few words, thanks!

My point[s] in this whole discussion, is it [1] doesn't matter for hunting purposes and [2] I don't think it matters much in 3D, as your range estimation is important.

I believe one can adjust the hold on a multi range reticuled scope to compensate for odd ball ranges easier than to use a HHA. I use Vix's problem's as evidence.

I once traveled to Memphis, [5 hrs] to meet Mikey [aka Vixenmaster] for a 3D shoot. 22 xbows, I finished 3rd, actually 2nd if you cancel the pencil whipping I took, lol.

I guess my whole point is, if a target is 43 yds, your HHA is only as good as your guess on the range........

Im no scope master but ive done installed my share of glass .hundreds .I just like doing this hobby stuff. My uncle was a gunsmith ,i learned a lot from him .

Ill help when i can .if i dont know i can find out real fast .

heck i even use a crosshair leveler.

Really important to have crosshair level for the best shooting .Ive seen to many canted scopes .and thats why they can hit the broadside of a barn consistent .

Optimizer has arrived and would not fit on with the lumazone, bell to big. So I took it off and took a 1.5 x 5 leupold vx.111 off my rifle and mounted it with no problem. After putting on a pretty "big" cheekpiece, It is shooting great!! Now shooting crosshairs all the time!!! As Phil Robertson would say I am Happay, Happay, Happay!!!!

I put the HHA on my Exocet 200 a short time ago. I do admit it does raise your cheek off the stock a little much, but the thing is dead nuts out to 80 yards ! ! ! I have a Vortex Viper rifle scope on mine and love just having to use one crosshair. . .I just think crossbow scopes are to busy inside, plus going to a rifle scope you have a better selection of quality optics. Just make sure you have the xbow level across the riser and someway to level the crosshairs of the scope when you go to mount it (I use a string and plum-bob after leveling my riser/xbow) and you should enjoy a fine shooting piece of equipment. Good luck.
