Anti Dryfire, any good?
How's the anti dryfire setup work, pros & cons.
Does of fit any Excalibur Crossbow?
Any and all input welcomed.
Thanks.

Re: Anti Dryfire, any good?
Have one installed on my 2012 Equinox.
Easy to install. For some have noted difficulty removing mounting screws from original mount. So before I purchased a Guardian anti-dryfire I removed the screws inadvance to ensure that I was good to go on installation.
Sure is a great peace of mind resulting in alot less concern while target shooting when I believe most dryfires tend to occur .
The only thing I see with it is becareful when loading an arrow that you fully seat the nock against the serving.
It is like a double tap click sound when the arrow is fully seated rather then the usual single tap click without the anti dryfire.
Find it easy to decock using the cocking aid.

Re: Anti Dryfire, any good?
They do work , but I removed mine from my 380 in the first week, for my own reason. Did'nt like how I had to be wary of the the second " click " Being a smaller guy when I pull it back it's either off or on, More so if I get caught in the so called heat of the moment scenario. Warranty is of no concern to me as all my excal's have fell to my tinkering and never missed a beat in 20 yr's.

Great peace of mind-hope it's not used, but nice just in case.I have no problems with cocking or setting arrow

Re: Anti Dryfire, any good?
Have not used one on my Excaliburs but have one on my 3D and target crossbow and I am a believer. Get talking to people or a drink or two and it saved me a couple times. Times I did dryfire my Excals nothing happened to them but did hurt my pride.

Re: Anti Dryfire, any good?
Not a bad idea since hearing on another post Excalibur charged a $30 dryfire fee. Once that goes over it will likely become a standard warranty charge.

Dan Miller has them for $55. I've seen them on ebay for $70.
