Black Spots in Tac-Zone scope.. what to do

Post by todaupah »

Hi..
I bought a new Matrix 355 package and like the scope but it has black spots on glass. They can't be wiped off as I tried to clean with lense kit.Its obvious the stuff is inside of glass.I know its not normal as my friend bought a 380 with same tac-zone scope. We just bought these yesterday & now up north on our hunt for a week.Do I struggle using it or send to Excal. This sucks as I need good glass to hunt.

Contact Excalibur

They will do what is right.

When you have a problems with a product, the best thing to do first is contact the manufacture or where you bought it and let them help. That is your best bet.

If it is just a setup issue, then the forum can help faster.

Not at all

It is just that if it is an actual faulty part, then forum members can not truly help. The long you take to contact Excalibur, the long it will take to be looked after properly.

You didn't come across like you where whining to me.
I would try to use the scope if it is completely functional. Try taking it out first thing in the morning and let it cool off in the moist air. If it still looks clear bring it in the house and look through the scope to check for humidity in the scope. If you see nothing I think you're good to go until you replace the scope after the season.
Call Woody's in PA for warranty (assuming you are in the US).
