Hunting Partner Needed

Post by Hammer »

Good Mornin`

I live in the Akron, OH area and am looking for a hunting partner. Deer, Squirrel, Rabbit, etc...

If anyone is looking for a new hunting/shooting buddy send me a message. I'm 29 years old and grew up shooting guns all my life.

Best of luck to everybody and I hope to hear from you!

Matt

Maine Hunter,

Thank you kindly for the offer. I won't ever say no to meeting good guys and making hunting memories. First off, I'm JEALOUS that you are blessed to live in the gorgeous state of Maine. I went there for my first time last year in September. I had the opportunity to stay in Booth Bay, Bar Harbor, and visit Acadia National Park. The sunrise from Cadillac Mtn in the morning was breath taking.

Sandusky is about an hour northwest of me. Definitely within reach to take a weekend day and hunt! Hell, a whole weekend is fine too.

Have a great Thanksgiving and if you can "save" me as one of your buddies on this forum please do. I haven't figured out all the bells and whistles yet - I just joined.

:D that would be great. love to meet new hunters with the love of shooting there excaliburs!!! maine is a pretty place, we just don't have the deer like some states do. alot of does and few bucks. and you have to be picked for a doe tag to take one. been 6 years since last doe tag.

Well a non-resident annual license is $125.00 here in Ohio (of course nowhere else has deer like these amazing Ohio Whitetail bucks!) so the cost is definitely worth it!
An either-sex tag is $24.00 and an antlerless deer tag is $15.00 no matter if youre a resident or not.
Here is a link to the Ohio DNR website and fees associated with a non-resident hunter ages 18-65.

http://www.ohiodnr.com/wildlife/dow/reg ... resident=2

The link below this will give you bag limits and regulations by Ohio county. Sandusky is a 2-Deer County. No more than one (1) with an either-sex permit and no more than one (1) with an antlerless permit.

Hope this helps you - it's NEVER too early to get ready for next year's deer season LOL

Hey buddy! How far south? I hunt the Killbuck Marsh area a lot. Over 5,000 WMA acres...everything you could want to hunt/trap is there (within reason). It's prime for waterfowl too if you're a bird gunner.

Check it out sometime if you have never.

I'm a little too far away (southwest corner of the state) to offer to hunt, but my wife is from your part of the state (Ravenna area), so I have been through there a few times.
