Question??

Question??
Right now, I've just got more to do than time to do it. So much so that I'm
skipping hunting season this year so my Eclipse won't get any use, even
practice, until next year. Do I need to remove the string and relieve
the limbs until I can get back to normal life again?
Thanks,

Re: Question??
It seems to be one of those things that is nice to do, but not necessary. I can tell you that my Exocet has been strung for the last 2 years and there has been no change in POI or speed. However I may give it a break once the season is done here. If you do unstring it make sure you remove the pads from the dissipator bars if they are installed.
Re: Question??

Re: Question??
Looks like you don't have them. They are a short metal bar bolted on at the front of the limbs with a rubber pad on the inside end. Used for vibration and noise damping, but not a necessary item. Here's the link to them on the website. http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/catalo ... or_bar_kit
Re: Question??
I would unstring it. Bill T recommended doing it to give the limbs a rest.
Now that said lots of guys do not( including me) mainly because we shoot all year long. but if going to be stored then why not? it simple enough

I know what you're talking about now. Thanks, I may take it down. It's no
problem really, no different than changing a string in the field. One of
the reasons we all bought Excaliburs in the first place.

If it's good enough for Bill T. then I reckon it's good enoughstrum wrote:I would unstring it. Bill T recommended doing it to give the limbs a rest.

for me. I'll take it down and store it in the case tomorrow.
