POI Question

Post by tman74 »

Hope everyon'e having a great holiday season!

I have a question I was hoping someone could shed some light on. My Tact Zone died so I put my varizone on my 380 until my replacement comes and was out shooting it today at the Rhinehart 18-1. What I found was that 20 & 30 yds it's amazingly dead on. 40 yds about 1.25" left and at 50 it's approx 3.5" low and approx 3" left.

Any advice on how to go about correcting the poi at 40 - 50? Speed ring is set to 350 and I'm shooting 18" BE's with brass front and 125 slick trick. Thanks very much for any advice.

Sounds to me your scope is not vertical when you shoot. Maybe scope is but bow might not be.

Sounds to me like your scope hairs are tilted a tad. Try a torpedo level on the rail and a plumb bob w/ heavy line at 20 yds or so 1st off..........

That makes a lot of sense. I'll give the scope a look to make sure the crosshair is as close to perfectly vertical as possible. Thanks very much for the advice. :D
