matrix 405 not for tournament compition?

Post by JIMID »

why does excalibur say the 405 is not for competion? is it not accurate enough? my 380 deadly accurate! does the extra speed throw it off?

I've been shooting one for a year now and it is deadly accurate. Accurate enough to get groups of less than 1" at 50 yards with broadheads. What you've read is not about the accuracy it's the repetitive cocking effort that would not be conducive to precision shooting.

Also most 3-d shoots have a speed limit to preserve the expensive targets .

What are your competition speed limits over there,
We're held to a max of 300fps

I do not think there is many target that will stand up to that kind of punch ! the clubs would be replacing targets more often .

My Reinharts take it ok but you quickly learn that because at 20 yards there's not much arrow sticking out you needs some Danny Miller arrow pullers and that you should shot at a foam target at 30 yards not 20 yards.
