Newb intro and vixen bolt question
Newb intro and vixen bolt question
I know it has been brought up but is anyone getting good results with 18 inch bolts out of the vixen? I wouldn't ask if I could find the answer in search.. Thanks

You can shoot 18" arrows or arras but I don't think you can shoot bolts of any kind out of your Vixencbrdog wrote:I know it has been brought up but is anyone getting good results with 18 inch bolts out of the vixen? I wouldn't ask if I could find the answer in search.. Thanks

Can't remember who, but someone shoots 16" ARROWS out of their vixen.
You're safe with an 18", I've done it. I like the heavier arrows out of all Excalibur bows, (personal preference). I'll take a decrease in speed for a decrease in vibration and "sound". I recommend an 18" BEE with a finished weight around 400gr.
I have a 20" arrow that weighs exactly 325gr, the min grain weight for a Vixen. It's fast as all giddup from my wife's Vixen, (older model with 14" rail), and loud as all hell too!
That's her 3D setup.
