Thanks for the reply. I'm a Mr Magoo type so dim light performance is vital for me. Do you personally use the Burris? How would dim light performance compare, say, to a Leupold conventional scope?

By the way, which model are you recommending?

The speed dot i had on a old ten point, went with the bow or he wouldn't buy it, there's a lot of dot scopes I think burris makes the best for the buck, check their site out

I have two C-More Railways with 2MOA dot modules. Seem to do well on rifles may try on a excal down the road...

Very clear view.

Well I put my Burris fast fire 2 on this weekend. I like it. I tried different ranges and went with it set at 30 yards. Very close from 0-30 yards. I was really surprised at the amount of drop from 30 to 40 yards but I try to set up for less than 30 yards anyways. I will say that I have had this sight for 3 years and still on the original battery and the dot is very small. This is a great product by Burris. I have always seen great things about aim point but they cost more than my Burris.
