Non crossbow question. What does the Blue light mean?

Post by SniperWolf »

Hey forum I have a question for those who own a bushnell bone collector trophy game camera. I am having the same problem on all three of my cameras and here is my problem:
When I turn the camera on it will take pictures however when I switch it to setup mode to set my settings I get nothing. No display and a blue light turns on. To me the blue light means "it's f•••ed". So what does the blue light mean. And has anyone else had the same problem.
Thanks

Interesting considering that the batteries are brand new and are energizers.

Are they lithium? They are the only ones I would run in the camera. A little pricy but worth it.

No when you leave it on set up its a red light. When you switch it to on you get a flashing red light for 30 seconds.

I left mine on setup and when I came back I could see that blue light from way out. When I checked I saw that I forgot to switch it to on from setup. I think the blinking red light is only test for so many sec or min then it goes active.
Internet search says low batteries. I know mine weren't dead or low. I always use lithium batteries

I had a game call that used 8 AA batteries and I tried using re-chargeable AAs. The re-chargeable AAs only put out 1.3VDC while the non-rechargeable AAs put out 1.5VDC. Your batteries are connected in series so that the total voltage is the sum of the # of batteries. The game call needed 12VDC from the 8 batteries but with the re-chargeable AAs I did not have the 12VDC needed. The game call works great with the non-rechargeable AAs. If you have a volt meter you could measure the DC volts across your string of batteries and see if that could be your problem.
