Matrix 380 Gobbler Decap

Post by DaverV »

I had Big John make up some full length zombie slayers so that I could shoot Magnus Bullheads this year. Thought I would report on the performance...seems like a lot of others are curious as to how they will shoot out of their excals. I was able to get them sighted in quickly and accurately. Pretty much got a full decapitation on this guy.

That's awesome! I love that style.

I haven't tried to shoot past 20 yards, so I really don't know. I usually try to get the birds around 10 yards. They shoot great out to 20 yards though!

After losing two birds this year I switched to the bullheads also. I sighted them in at 15 yards and then taped a banana on top of a stick. Well three out of four shots sliced the same banana. This is the only broad head I will ever use for turkey again. Which size did you use? I was recommended the smaller size for the x-bow.

Thanks and congrats Big D

Hey Big D! Glad to hear it's working out for you. I'm shooting 125g as it was all they had at my local archery shop. I actually tagged out last Saturday on a nice Tom... got a full decap too. I'll try and get the video uploaded sometime

Thanks DaverV I was recommended the smaller cut 100 grain by the ceo of magnus for the speed of the crossbow. I wished I had that huge cut like you used It would help with human air for sure. I am going tomorrow morning for the last hunt of the year I hope to try them out on the real thing.
