Mothers Day Turkey

Post by Doe Master »

First off . It was not me . :)
It was my brother/Close up . He has problems posting pictures so I got voted to tell the story .
We hunted separate first thing this morning . He heard nothing but I had heard a bird sounding off from daybreak till 7:30 . So I called him and decided to try for this eager bird . :)
I met him at the truck and we went to try for this turkey . We walked in about 200 yards from the road and sat to listen . Not 1/2 hour into the sit he sounded off further back in the bush . So we moved to a T in the trail and re-setup . With a few calls he SLOWLY made his way . Scott was first to spot his florescent red, white and blue head . :)
I tried to video the shot but as luck would have it I zoomed in too much and had a lovely view just over the birds head . :?
Here he is phoning home a Good Morning/Mothers Day .

The traditional walking out picture .
