attempting to fletch some bolts

Post by hundl1 »

I'm trying to put some new vanes on my BEE's 001 using the Arizona EZ=Fletch Mini.
It appears the Mini is too small for the 001 bolts, it dosen't seem to close around the correctly and can't come close to getting the cap on. Have I bought the wrong fletcher?

Yes, you need the "Bolt" model, or the Offset Pro. Go with the Bolt!

not exactly sure what the "mini" is for but I bought the "bolt" and have fletched black eagle executioners in both 001 and .003 as well as gt's with no problems.
just a thought here but maybe the "mini" is only for small diameter shafts? there is some arrow experts on the forum that will give you a solid answer

FYI, copy and pasted from Arizonas web page.

New E-Z Fletch "Mini" lets you fletch short BLAZER style vanes up to 2 ¼" with maximum helical for more accurate arrow flight, specifically designed for shooting tighter, more consistent groups when shooting with broadheads. The Mini is perfect for carbon arrows, 5/16" (.3125) diameter or smaller.

Like the others have said you need the bolt or one for aluminum arrows. I use fast set gel so I can still fletch with the mini I just hold the arms tight to the shaft for about 45 seconds and its fletched. I recently bought one for the bolt on Archerytalk for half the price almost as a new one and it works like its supposed to.
