squeek
Re: squeek
The Brass "wheels" should not touch the bow. If so, use a thicker rope. The wheels should ride on the rope only.

If a problem, show a pic. And is your cocker rope factory or aftermarket.?

Exocet 200
Re: squeek
Sometimes the squeak can come from between the stock and the rail. It might be a good idea to do a nut and bolt check.
Some people just like stepping on rakes
Re: squeek
Ok I will check tomorrow
Re: squeek
Do you by chance have one of the Parker bow cocking ropes with the rubber wheels that ride against the rail?

Re: squeek
Use ear plugs until you get yourself a excalibur rope cocker

Re: squeek
Can you press the brass pins out enough to apply some silicon lube on em? Just a dab may quite em down for you.wcbarker wrote:Yup that's what I got. And it is very loud when I cock it.

I bought this bow used just to see if I would like it.
I have hunted with everything else so thought I would give this a try.
What is the Excalibur cocking aid wheels made of.
I will try to find one.
Going to Wyoming Wednesday to shoot antelope.
Might not have time to get one for this trip, will try Cabelas at Billings.
Re: squeek
Try a little 3 in 1 oil on a small craft paint brush an lube the pins a touch.
They are a nice cocker with those roller wheels riding the rail, my wife uses one. The shop where she bought it had one for the range that squeaked bad.
I took the pins outta one of my four cocker ropes
an polished em up with a drill an 1200 grit emery paper.
