The boo man

Post by canoetrpr »

My buddy and I, being local here in the Toronto area, paid a visit to Don, Mr. "Boo" yesterday to pick up a couple of strings.

Don is a true gentleman and a WEALTH of information which he shares generously. We were treated to watching him work while he was preparing my buddy's string. Man, Don' is an artist and string making is his art. There really is a piece of his soul in every string he makes. You would just be amazed if you saw the attention to detail he has.

Don gave us a lesson on caring for our strings and before we left said "take good care of MY strings" ;-). He really did mean the "MY" part ;-) We will take good care of your strings Don and will use the wealth of knowledge you shared to us well.

X2. To say Don is a wealth of knowledge is actually an understatement. Many of the members here have been so gracious with their willingness to help out in many ways but Don is definitely a stand out. :D

When he turned over the strings to you, did he also give you some of his lip balm? If so, I hope you tested right on the spot and told him how awful it tastes.
