After much research, gathering information from everyone here, and finally finding a place I could check out the Excalibur crossbows, I finally ordered a Matrix 310 from Dan Miller and am somewhat impatiently waiting for it to arrive in the next few days. Dan set me up with everything I will need to be successful for many years. (minus the deer) I have learned a great deal about everything pertaining to crossbows from the people on this site. I will be ordering a couple upgraded strings sometime in the near future, but will wait until I am familiar with my Matrix before I try them out. I would like to thank everyone for helping me choose a crossbow that I know will work well for me and bring many years of enjoyment. I will be posting a review once I have had a chance to get comfortable with my Matrix 310.

CONGRATS on the new addition! If i were to buy a new xbow today I'd give the 310 serious consideration.

I too have learned a lot from this forum and also from dan miller! He is some kinda person. I have been going to him for all my crossbow needs. He also makes some very nice strings,and to hear him talk is some thing special to!! Good luck this coming season.... bubba.
