I see he forgot to put the serving wax in my package, sooo
When I ordered my M310 Dan told me not to use rail lube.
He told me to use the serving wax he was sending and wax the serving before I use it. Problem is he forgot to throw it in the box. lol
Is string wax the same as serving wax? If not, can I use it?
Should I wax my string as well as the serving?
Thanks.

Re: String & rail questions.
I got it set up tonight after work, then set up my hard case.
I even practiced taking the string off and putting it back on.
The cocking rope works with the stringer nicely
I will post pics of crossbow & case in a couple days... along with my first report.
I gotta get to bed now so I can leave for work in about 7 hours. (2'nd shift)
I only have Sunday off this weekend.
If I get up early enough I might try a shot or two

Re: String & rail questions.
Glad to hear you got your bow!! Dan miller really isn't a fan of waxing strings. But I'm sure he just forgot, In fact he kinda convinced me to use very little on the string, maybe a little every fifty or 100 shots. But I would wax the serving lightly every 30 or so shots, I have completely given up the rail lube. the waxing of the serving I prefer, Lube picks up everything! didn't like that. For me a little goes along way. Enjoy your new crossbow bud!!! And be sure to keep us all informed........bubba..........

Re: String & rail questions.
I believe Danny Miller isn't a fan of waxing because a lot of people will over do it and you end up with piles of wax getting into your trigger mechanism. I apply wax as needed, including the end loops on a Flemish string. After applying the wax make sure you rub it in until your fingers feel hot and the string looks wet. Then use some paper towel or micro fibre cloth to wipe off any excess wax. I don't lube the rail but will use some isopropyl alcohol or acetone on a micro fibre cloth to clean the rail.

good advise. Wax after a shooting session. the wax wil have time to soak in.paulaboutform wrote:I believe Danny Miller isn't a fan of waxing because a lot of people will over do it and you end up with piles of wax getting into your trigger mechanism. I wax the serving with Bohning Seal Tite about every 100 shots, and rub it in good.
