I have been flinging arrows at deer for 43 years and decided to give a crossbow a shot this year. Anything with two limbs and a string has my interest. Last night, I set up on the edge of a dried up swamp. I treated myself to a new summit Titan climber this year and man this thing is almost too comfortable.( almost nodded off once the wind died down) Just after sundown I had three does come through browsing when one of them decided to give me a broadside pose at 22 yards. I had 'ol twanger lined up and air mailed a carbon missile southbound. I'm using 20" firebolts tipped with 125 grain wasp Jakhammers. The doe piled up 60 yards away in sight, with a hole big enough to read a newspaper through. This is my first crossbow deer and certainly won't be the last! these things are a hoot.

Those JakHammers make a heck of a hole, but I've had troubles with them in the past. With a single O-ring they would sometimes open when launched, and with double O-rings I put one through a buck that failed to open.
I see Wasp now has a "JAK-X" designed for crossbows. I'll have to investigate further.

...it was because you have now provided it with a new home in the way of a genuine Excalibur case for it to rest in...and not the sweat shirt (hopefully clean

) that you previously had it restin in awaitin action
