This morning I checked it out thoroughly.
Broke a piece out of frame.Right along side of rear bolt to riser.
On the synthetic frame ,one of the thin milk crate ribs is mostly gone at the pylon the rear bolt goes through.. No fault of the design, they are tough. A lot of energy drove that cocking handle into it.
One side of a cocker handle on top shows where it hit the frame.Material crushed inward roughly an eighth inch.
Limbs checked out with cotton ball and did not find anything else out of spec..
Raining out so did not shoot it.

Hate to hear that. I was just about brave enough to try to decock mine with the cocking aid. That is the only thing I do not like about my Excalibur compared to my old Horton Yukon. On my Horton, I would put my stirrup on the ground and put my foot in the stirrup and grab the string on both sides and my wife or kids would pull the trigger to un cock. My Axiom stock is too long for me to do this and I've not been brave enough to try it with the cocking aid. But I hunt at home so I've just been shooting out an arrow at my target when I get home.

While I can use crutches I shoot and hunt from a wheel chair. Having only one leg cocking /decocking is done by leaning way back from a seated position at end of draw or release prep. Have had no problem in the past. Just was not paying proper attention. I have the stock canted to one side when cocking decocking so the length of it is offset. While no evidence of an uneven draw has shown, care is taken to keep it even both sides.

It looks scary but is actually easier than cocking the bow.

I'm glad you're ok. I'm curious, not that it matters but which way did you have the hooks facing? Up or down?
