Apologies to Agingcrossbower

Post by Species8472 »

So I went out for the opening this morning and spent 3 hours in the blind and saw one doe about 100 yards off.

Plans for the afternoon were to do a walk and stalk along the river bottom in my ghillie suit. Well those plans apparently included an epic wipeout on an inclined mossy log.

Other than some back pain and a bruised elbow the only other casualty was my new stock (first time in the field with it) that Aging made:

Character marks - just didn't plan on adding them so fast.

Well you did it now!! Its OK, I can get that mark out for you. Just send it to me after the season and I will take care of it. Glad to see that your using it. Where you hunt a broken bone is deadly. If I had to patch you up, your hunting days would be over.

PS; What I meant by sending it to me is you pay the mailing expense and I will do the work for free. I enjoy seeing my stocks. Every stock is like seeing an old friend again.

Not "Character Marks" - those are "Battle Scars".

And you "didn't" slip down an incline, those ended up there when a Bear surprised you - couldn't get off a shot - had to beat the beast, that was easily the largest bear you will probably ever see, over the head repeatedly until it ran off - no doubt mortally wounded....

Ya, that's how those "scars" got there

I like your thinking.
