Should have hunted this morning

So deer opened here in Ontario on Wednesday the 1st. Went out the night before, slept out and hunted all the 1st - saw nothing, but hey, it's just opening day - still have 3 months to hunt.

Decided to go out this afternoon (3rd) - guess I was a few hours too late.

I often have the same disappointments, the trail cam tells me I should have been there at a different time.
At least you know what time he visited now, maybe he'll do it again.

And most importantly to me: he's using the area at least sometimes in the daylight! last season was my first one to use trail cams; two. I got plenty of pics of bucks with a few in the 130-140 class, and some of does and turkeys. As far as the deer are concerned, the only bucks that showed during legal shooting hours were 3-4 that were too small for me to be interested in, and even with the does there were only a couple during the day.

Haven't yet set any out this season, but will next week. I'm self employed and make it a personal habit to be out there on the weekdays and work weekends if needed!

she's waiting for me to let her walk by with her babies !! because
they know who takes care of them
