First deer with my 405 pics add'd

Post by scholar »

Well my wife purchased me a 405 this summer for my Bday. So i've been pumped to finally get to take a shot this past evening. I got a 6 pointed well technically a 8 but realistically a 6... Anyways was pumped with the deer he was a real fatty he must have been eating a ton. I was shooting Lumenoks with 150 grain Excalibur fixed three blades and I must say I was happy with the shot but not happy to find 1/3 of my arrow inside the deer and the other 2/3rds mia and yes the lumenok still lit bright. cant wait to get the deer back from the butcher and get back out and try to put some more meat in the freezer.

Cheers

Scholar, first of all congratulations on your harvest and also welcome to the forum.

Anthony :)

PS: here is something I sent to another forum member to assist him in getting his pictures posted. See if it helps you.

Being computer savvy...here is the process to getting images onto the site:

1. If you don't have a photobucket account you need to open one up (free),

2. Once you have an account set up, upload your images the site,

3. Click on an image and you will see a bunch of links to the right. You need to click on the "IMG" link,

4. Go back into the forum and hit "paste". You will now see two sets of code. Delete the first set (each set is two lines).

5. When you hit "submit" your image will be in your posting.

IF you are confused or this does not work, email me the images and I will do post them for you. Good luck,

Anthony :)

Thank you every one. I'm front The Niagara Region in Ontario I hunt area 88.

The shot was just behind the shoulder with a exit mid body hardly any blood trail I couldn't find any organ damage. where the exit was I though I may have grazed the guts but there was nothing damaged so everything was good.

Nice buck,Congrats!!! When I shoot a broad side deer,I aim straight up the front leg about a 1/3 of the way up,it puts your bolt through both lungs...at least that's what happened to the buck a shot 2 weeks ago, haha. Ran about 30 yards, and had a good blood trail if I would have needed it.
