Story-- had a doe with 2 fawns first show up in the turnip field but the field itself is to far for a bow shot. watching the 3 and another loner shows up in the turnips. took them about 30 mins to make it over to bow range and they were all extremely skittish. once they got into range they stood in a group so was impossibe to get a shot. then the 2 fawns turned and headed for the woods and i figured they all knew something was not right and the 2 bigger does would head to the woods just as quick as the 2 little ones did so i got the bow up and as soon as they separated i let it fly. i had hoped to shoot the dry doe but i have to admit that i lost track of which one it was. but made my best guess and got lucky that i picked the right one. at the shot all i saw was the flash of my lumenok so i did not see the actual impact. went to check where she was standing and noticed the lumenok shining bright in the turnip field about 25 yards from where she stood, arrow was bloody from one end to the other but my poor vision at finding blood on the ground and my handicaps put a stop to me looking to much. so i came home called my brother and nephews and they were here within 1/2 hour, they found alot of blood right where the arrow laid and they started off on a steady walk because seeing all the blood was no problem for them. i followed their lights and they stopped walking about 30 yards into the woods, she had made it only about 70 yards. so i am a happy hunter and also a blessed one having family that comes to help me on a moments notice , I don't think I could do this if it was not for them:!: that is the entry shown in the pic, exit was mid ribs right side, that spitfire maxx really did a number on her and she will make some fantastic eating
