micro arrows
I had a few sessions with the factory Quills with 125gr field points. Accuracy was what I will call OK but not the groups I am used to.
I am going to be testing a few arrow and broadhead combos to achieve the best groups possible with my Micro. I want to stick with the NAP FOC heads so I am thinking a 15.5" Zombie arrow with Luminocks and Aluminum front inserts should be the Ticket. I will post my results.
If you have a Micro arrow and BH combo working well for you please post your results.
So far I am really enjoying owning the Micro and hoping to get out with it before the season is over.

Re: micro arrows
I've only shot one set up this far and it has been this:
15" BEE's
110 brass insert
125 shwacker
Ignitor nock
I'm right around 410 grains with this set up and will be trying the 92 & 80 grain inserts to see if there are any significant advantages with grouping using either one. I was very pleased with my groups out to 40 yard with this set up however.

Re: micro arrows
I'm using 16.5 Gold Tip Laser II Pros with 110 grain insert, Blazers and Lumenoks and a 100 grain Slick Trick standard for a total weight 382 grains.
I sighted in with field points and switched out to broadheads and my POI is the same with both so far out to 40 yards.. I've not been able to test past 40 yet.. Maybe tonight..

The 50 yard shot with the ST standard:

Re: micro arrows
I'm curious as well about arrow broadhead combinations. Its good to see what others are using and testing I'm going to see if my wife's Micro will shoot the QAD Exodus broadhead well as it did with her Matrix 330. it was a real tackdriver out to 40 yards.
Those Slick Tricks look like they're spot on also and I'm very partial to them I'll be trying those in the Grizztricks as well.

Re: micro arrows
is a 15 in arrow legal? i know some states have limits on length .just curious
Re: micro arrows
Indiana is very liberal on hunting equipment in terms of archery. 35# minimum for compound bows, 125# for crossbows, and they must have a mechanical safety. That's it!

Re: micro arrows
Virginia has no rules regarding arrow length, only minimum broadhead size. I had to reduce mine down to this size in order to fit the long Swhacker ferule inside the stirrup.bob watkins wrote:is a 15 in arrow legal? i know some states have limits on length .just curious

...Clint...when you say is that combo with in the stirrup.....the answer is "yes"...If i can recall correctly the arrow comes very close to the end of the stirrup....ClintRhodes wrote:Is that combo within the stirrup?GrassyKnoll wrote:I'm using 16.5 Gold Tip Laser II Pros with 110 grain insert, Blazers and Lumenoks and a 100 grain Slick Trick standard for a total weight 382 grains.

Clint....here are a couple of images of the 16.5" Quill with an "Ignitor" nock (similar to Lumenoks) and a field tip...As I said above it comes very close to the end of the stirrup...with a BH I would think it would be outside the stirrup...hope this helps

Re: micro arrows
Thanks for the pic Anthony that's how mine look also and that just won't work for me under hunting conditions . I think the guys cutting them down to 15 in are on the track I'm looking for
I will be keeping a eye on there findings. And try a few of my own ideas
