I did a super quick chronograph on my micro today, only 7 shots standing without a rest. It averaged 341fps. This weekend I will set up my rest and do some more in depth testing properly set up.

Ok guys. I took a few shot with my Nightmare and an Excalibur Quill through amy chrono. I have a Pro Chrono with the light kit. All shots were indoor.

I have a Danny Miller Flemish string on my Micro. My brace height is set to where the front edge of my serving is just touching the outer edge of the line etched into the rail. The string is on the side of the line heading up the rail towards the trigger.

I do not know what my limb deflection #'s are

Components weighed on my digital grain scale.

Red Micro string weighs in at 95 grains.
Danny Miller Flemish string weighs in at 114 grains.
Note: I did not shoot the red Micro string.

I shot six arrows. Three with the 150 grain tip and three with a 100 grain tip.

The Quill with a 150 grain tip weighs in at 397 grain complete
The Quill with a 100 grain tip weighs in at 346 grains complete

The 346 grain Quill shot a 3 arrow average of 346.3 FPS.

The 397 grain Quill shat a 3 arrow average of 328.3 FPS.

Your mileage may vary.

And I froze my butt off all day in the stand from pre- dawn to 30 minutes after sunset and did not see one deer.... :D

IMPRESSIVE NUMBERS INDEED.

I don't feel underpowered with my Micro. I feel it is an unfair advantage!! :)

I am inclined to believe that the baking process for the camo bows may somehow weaken a limb. That's plausible.

But to make a real comparison between the Nightmare and XTRA we'd need to see what everyone has for limb deflection values. I am testing some Matrix stuff and learning that this factor alone is makes all the difference. I suspect the effect on Micro speed is the same but I have yet to test that. I spoke with someone that is getting close to 350fps from a hot pair of limbs on a Micro 335.

I heard that a high deflection value for the Micro series is 33#. If you've removed your micro limbs, post your values in this thread so we can settle this debate!
