What glue to use for aluminum nocks?

I am wondering what kind of glue to use to install aluminum nocks. ATM im looking at the bohning iron insert glue. Not sure if thats too much for nocks or what. Will be putting them on carbon BEE 18" arrows.

I use Loctite two part epoxy.

More important is the prep. I put the insert in between two rasp files and run them back and forth a few times to rough up the surface of the insert (thanks Boo). It gives the insert more grip on the adhesive.

I also clean the inside of the arrow with an old .30 caliber bore brush and a little acetone.

You would need a torch to take it out. Epoxy is the king of adhesives.

I have never tried. No need. My goal is to make sure that they never come out.

I have removed factory / super glued in mocks with boiling water.

I use Bohning Ferr L Tite. Allows you to take out or replace inserts and nocks.

I think I read correctly and you're using aluminum nock inserts. If that's the case I'm going to go completely against the grain and tell you DO NOT SUPER GLUE OR EPOXY YOUR NOCKS! This is a little trick I picked up from a custom arrow builder and I haven't looked back. It's really the best way to go. Use a TINY spot of ferrul tite (I use the low temperature blue ferrul tite glue stick) on the insert and install. It never comes out from shooting but should you damage it it can be removed by screwing in a target point and applying slight heat.no other prep required. Fresh nock, spot of glue stick, insert in shaft. Really, give this a try. I think you'll be impressed as well.
