I recall a member here who did use his to target yotes and he was successful, lots of kill pics but I imagine its a tough go.

This guy is a coyote magnet. He uses a Cam X crossbow though.

I don't specifically target them with my bow but when the opportunity knocks then I fling an arrow... :)

I'd like to try, but in Eastern woods and at this time of year the dogs come runnin in hard and fast and I am not fast enough with a bow, so my .243 or .223 does it.

Taken one in the last 5 years with the xbow. Never targeted with the xbow, just a crime of opportunity.

When intentional I use the .270. Other than that I'll use anything if the opportunity presents. About 7 years ago my 2 Walkers and our Malamute actually put one to bay in the garage. I was in the house and heard the ruckus and went out and walked right into it before I knew what was going on. Hounds were keeping about 10 feet from the fray but the Malamute was right on it. I just grabbed the first thing I saw which happened to be a baseball bat and gave the malamute an assist by splitting the coyotes skull. Dog would have handled it on his own but probably would been a little more chewed up if I'd let nature take its course.

Like they say, a dead tote is a good yote. This guy came running right at me to within a few feet of me, I had to stand up and yell at him to stop, I swear he would of ran me over LOL I got him about fifty yards away as he ran away from me.
