one question I have is how do you handle out of country cheques? I know the last time I deposited a Canadian bank cheque at my bank they charged me a $25 service fee. I know that varies between banks but those bank fees can add up in a hurry.

I hate to complicate things but we might need some help on both sides of the border to make sure the $ goes to the charity rather than to the banks.

I think that's why paypal would work best. If we could have someone step up and lead this we could have anyone that only uses checks to send it to that person in the person is in the US and when he or she gets to boofest exchange it for Canadian currencies. Like I said it would be easier with Paypal.

May I suggest that to keep it simple we'll accept American money at par just for this special occasion

We could make that on an individual basis. That would be fair.
