Nice looking piece of work. What tool or tools did you use to make those gouges with around the outside of that piece of work? How thick of lumber did you use and how wide was the lumber?

I used a Lancelot to do the edges. It is a chainsaw blade that fits on a hand grinder, you really have to be careful with it that it doesn't cut too deep too fast, it's not meant to be used in a sweeping motion is exactly what I had to do, it is also not the safest thing to use at all. It is easier to do on a harder wood like oak almost impossible on soft wood like pine (I know cause I practised on both to see if I could get this look with it..lol)
At the widest part it is about 15 1/2" and I planed it down to about 7/8" thickness.
