Did Bowtech take away the lifetime warranty

Post by archerytho »

I had always thought Excalibur had a "lifetime warranty".
Did Bowtech make it a 5 year warranty.
Dont get me wrong im not bashing either company but just wondering. 5 years is still a long time and I doubt I will have to use it for a long long time.

They still have lifetime warranty!
At least thats what it says on the home page.
And I see no reason why they would change it.

Bowtech however may have a 5 year warranty.. I'm not sure as I never owned one

Where did you hear this? It's not anywhere on this site! But to clarify an earlier post, they may state that they have a limited lifetime warranty but there are no serial #s to verify which bow defective parts may have even come from, so do the math...

I read this is the manual I found online.
with further reading I found this http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=1366684
Hopefully Bill can come and clear it up.
Either way I wouldn't mind even a 5 year warranty is a long time

I really don't think BillT has anything to do with it anymore. They sold it!

We have not changed our warranty policy, its still the same lifetime warranty as stated on our website:

Excalibur crossbows have a limited lifetime warranty on manufacturing defects. Warranty will be given at Excalibur's discretion for the lifetime of the original owner.

Interesting. The manual which I will add isnt mine I found it online is from January 2008. It states basically there is an absolute warranty for five years but still continues for lifetime of the owner.
I wonder why advertise five years when the company is more than happy to warrent for a lifetime.

I have no knowledge of Excalibur's thinking, but here is what I read in the above statement.
"absolute warranty for 5 years" is for anyone which owns the bow.
"lifetime for orginal owners" is what it actually says.

Excalibur has in the past, shown great service and customer respect in standing behind their product. They do go way beyond their responsability.

I actually bought my Excalibur for the simplicity, but prior to purchase i creeped around these forums and found a knowledge base greater than any dealer or manual. I was sold . . . and as bulletproof as the these xbow are . . .i'm not worried bout the limited or lifetime thang! . . .besides if i got something i cant figure out i bet i could run to Vixenmasters house and he'd help me out
