bowfishing?

Post by bobcat »

anyone ever bowfish with there excalibur? a couple years ago we got into the carp pretty heavy while at the lake. my mom couldnt pull the recurve bow back far enough to get enough snot on the arrow to stick one. she bounced it off a few though but tired out fast. i was thinking about a crossbow rig for her.

I do with a vortex rail cut down to 10 inch stroke, with slugged BEE arrows an muzzy spinner on it an a deadly accurate fish bow.

I've only bowfished with my compound but I believe AMS and Muzzy both have crossbow rigs.I wonder how they would work shooting a full length arrow modded with a flat nock??? Seems it should slow down a faster bow pretty good. I'd love to know if it'd work.
