The best expandable in my vixen I shot in all my test an on deer was 100gr. Rocket steelhead hands down. two blade 100gr. Magnus stinger best for penetration an out penetrated all other heads I,ve tested in my vixen an also does the job on deer. slicktrick hard to beat for all around head! but I now prefer the Ramcat.

The debates ,tests , personal experiences and preferences are many,, concerning the Vixen your "better" all around choice as to a "solid" and "better performing BH is with a fixed blade.
Ain't no doubt about it

Magnus is my choice,,,strongly built,,super sharp,,field point accuracy,,,unbeatable guarantee

Good luck is choosing your's :!:

Fellas,
Thanks for the real world experience and testimony. I used to hunt with a Exomax which was utterly awesome with double banded Wasp Jac-Hammers 13/4 cut. As some of you pointed out the Vix isnt as powerful as its big brothers but there is always a trade off. I know my main priority is flight accuracy and the complete pass thru!! Hunting in areas that I do it is very common for me to stick a deer with them standing in 3-6 inches of water so I have to have great penetration with a really really sharp broadhead for maximum bleeding. I had shot some Thunderheads thru the old Exomax and had pretty good performance when I did my part. Anyway not really sure what route I will take on the Broadhead selection for the Vixen but that's part of the fun and the journey :D

Magnus Snuffer SS
I am ordering some of the Snuffers in 125 grain. Going to do some testing but I believe performance should be nice out of the Vix :D

Finally got some off time from work and honey do's. I recently mounted my new Vari-Zone on my new Vixen II and I am quite pleased with the performance. It was hitting quarter dots at 50 yards with Easton FireBolts and 100 grn field tips. I have decided to just use the standard Dacron string. I love the KISS Principle of the original Excalibur bows.

Long live the Vixen :!: :!:

Not yet. I have purchased the 100 grain Snuffer SS heads, but I am having to purchase another target for Broadhead Testing!! I am looking forward to seeing the "Proof in the Pudding".
