Flemish strings

Post by jcvortex »

I just ordered a coupe of new flemish strings from Danny Miller and can't wait to get them on my vortex. I hear great things about the flemish strings over the dacron stock strings.

You will like 'em as I sure know I do- Just keep checks on your Brace height and all will be fine. I keep all my Excal X-bows 1" back from where the front end or limb assembly joins the main frame.... :D

I'm confident you'll love the strings and smart move getting two. I suggest setting your brace height about 3/8" longer than your desired brace height. i.e. 1 3/8" instead of 1". This will help settle your string faster with the additional preload on the limbs. After 75-100 shots if you're not at your desired brace height you can reset at that point as the brunt of settling seems to occur within there.
