Just wanted to say that your not alone in the cursing and head shaking brought about by the weather and the people telling us about the weather for opening day tom Oct. 3rd

Good luck, stay safe and may your shot be true!

....up by us wind is to be howling and gusting over 30mph...might just go up and change out cards and pick a tree to climb next week...(no I didn't do that already as I was gonna use a ladder but was advised against that due to S/Bag locals who will take everything down.)....I am not crazy about trees and branches coming down all around me.

....but good luck to all others who choose otherwise...!

Down Virginia way, the forecast is getting a better a tiny bit as we get closer to tomorrow.

I'm planning on heading out; hope the area I'm headed to isn't flooded out

Let's all hope for non-rain dissipated blood trails!!

We're going out in the morning. It's only supposed to rain a bit here and there and then just be cloudy. So since my daughter's already asking my wife when does she have to shower with the scent free soap, we're definitely going.

It'd break her heart if we didn't go. But we'll be in a ground blind hopefully staying dry.

Now then, get your equipment, your quiver and bow, and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

I live in south central PA right on the Pa/Md border. I've been watching the weather and still ain't sure how it's gonna be outside tomorrow.

Either way I took the time to put my blind up a couple days ago bordering a small woodlot and a field of standing corn. It's kinda hard to get into in the mornings without spooning some deer but hopefully with the wet conditions I can be stealthy enough to still possibly see something. Good luck to all, and be safe if you take to the air!

It won't be the first time this year that I've hunted in the rain. I just had to try out my new Ruger American Rifle All-Weather version. After a while it looked like I was making a commercial for it. Of course I didn't see anything.

I'll be up a tree tomorrow I don't care how hard it rains or blows. I'll just be keeping my shots close so tracking will be as minimal as possible. Something that will fall in sight is in order tomorrow. I'm hoping it at least tapers off a little in the afternoon but I'd rather have a little rain than the high winds. I prefer to toss logs, not catch them.
