Went out to the spot where I have a feeder up this morning early. I hadn't hunted this in the AM yet this year as the camera showed most activity in the evenings. So I parked the truck way back the lane and snuck in real quiet like and got setup in my natural blind. Had a scent drag of Code Blue with me and hung it about 20 yds away. At about 6:25 I see a deer materialize off to my right in a grown up field. It's looking right at me but doesn't see me and looks forward again. I slip off the safety and get it in my scope guess at about 23 - 25 yds, so I aim about 1" above midline with my 20 yd reticle. Turns out, she actually was a little under 20yds. The Micro barked, the NuFletch shined, and the Ramcat slammed home - just a little high. Deer dropped on the spot but took a few minutes to expire. Found the arrow (got a perfect pass through) and it is in perfect shape back in the quiver. Turns out I hit just under the spine and took out the top of each lung. I thanked God for the deer, and went to move the truck closer and put my bow away. Came back and drug the deer up to another field where I field dressed it and then loaded it in the truck. Got home hung it up, skinned it out and then boned out all the meat and got that in the fridge. Cleaned up and went to breakfast at a small local diner with my beautiful bride. It was 9:30AM. I like mornings like that.

Oh Ya!! That's a good morning for sure. Congrats. :)
