Moving in Rhode Island also. Saw big time chasing Monday and called in a six pointer Wednesday. Six pointer got hung up at 50 yds which is outside my comfort zone, so he lived to brag to his buddies;)

Ok here goes. Yesterday was raining all day. I did not go out hunting because of the rain. I checked the weather for today and they called for heavy winds all day. So last night I said to my wife "I may not go hunting tomorrow and will wake up naturally and check the weather".
So I wake up this morning around 5am, I make myself a cup of coffee and I proceeded to go on the Excalibur forum. So I'm thumbing through the threads and I come across Grassyknolls thread where he got up late, got into the woods around 9 and shot a nice buck. Congratulations to grassy knoll on his buck!
With that being said I got dressed and got in my stand around 7am. 45 minutes later I see a huge buck. Then I hear a big crash and notice a big branch fell in the yard of the property I'm hunting on. So I look towards the noise and see my friend in his backyard. He starts waving to me so I wave back. I figure this is going to be a losing battle. My friend leaves to go to work.
The huge buck I see disappeared. I saw a different buck, I threw everything I had at him grunt wise with no response. The woods finally calm down, I saw nothing for an hour, I let out a loud grunt, and saw the buck I shot come up from behind me. It was a beautiful day and again I want to Thank Grassyknoll for posting that story. It kinda lit a fire under my butt. Thanks,
