Ruger AR556

Post by DaveShooter »

Not Crossbow but thinking about getting one of these rifle with all the stuff going on in this ole world with Terrorism and all. Would rather be safe than sorry if all you know what breaks loose. Heck if these IsIs or other terror groups will do their dirty evil deeds in every country than all better be ready is all I can say...

Matrix Grizzly
Hawke XB30 Pro
8ptbuk Custom Flemish String
Spynal Tapp 314gr 18" Bolts
Ramcat 100gr

Genesis 27:3
Now then, get your equipment, your quiver and bow, and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

The ruger ar556 is a great entry level ar platform. But keep in mind not many upgradable options do to it being a ruger design. If u want a complete stock rifle its a great deal.... This biggest flaw I thought it had was a2 gas block being pinned on top. Makes it very hard to swap for a low profile one. Also only a select few magpul accessories will fit.. If it were me id opt an buy a dpms Oracle for around 150 less an buy lots of ammo
Matrix grizzly
18" diablos
125gr grim reaper razor tip
Stock string an a purty sling
Twilight dlx optic

Thanks Bryan , As I am looking at a lot of selections on the AR Mkt- Never had one but had at one time a AK National Match with a steel milled rec. Wish I still had that one. AK are hard as heck if not impossible to destroy- They take a beating and still keep on a firing.

The ruger I bought took a beating as will any gas system. But ita in no comparison to my sr556 ita piston driven. But in all the ar's I have an have built I feel that the ar556 is a great gun but comparably overpriced for what your truly getting. That's why I recommended the dpms Oracle. If you have a rural king around or can order online for under 500 now u have some extra coins for a decent optic. I'll also add that the ruger does come with cheap.magul flip up sights but they're the cheapy ones..
