Brace Height
Out of the box my Matrix 380 is within the range for the brace height but the strings gap between the r.e.d.s. is over what is ideal. Should I loosen the string or will it stretch fairly quickly when fired?

Is preferable to see it out of the box with a gap between the REDS. It will stretch on its own after shooting, so, just leave it as is for now and use a stringing aid to adjust the brace height with a small gap between the REDS and string as needed. Twist the string to shorten it as it stretches.

No problem with a 3/8" gap. If you want to speed up the string stretching you could leave it cocked overnight.
