Dead Ringer Trauma

Post by Mb85 »

Has any body have any experience using the the 125gr traumas? It looks like a mean head for turkey and deer. I'd be shooting stock quills out of a 335 micro

I've used the 2 blade 3 1/8" cut

I've also used a 3 blade ringer 2" cut

My opinion is that these heads deflect when hitting ribs.
I recovered every animal hit with them including this yote!

Unless you plan on getting heavier brass inserts, you won't get the best accuracy out of those arrows. The stock quills have a light 29gr aluminum insert and a 100gr or even a 125gr head is a bit on the light side.

The 170gr FOC performs just like trauma head and won't require you to replace your inserts to get optimum accuracy.

That being said, I'm trying out the crossbow trauma in 100gr this year out of my Micro360 and Matrix 310 and my Matrix 410 will spit out FOCs again.
