I found the Excalibur cheek piece virtually useless as it does not have the height necessary to align your eye with the scope if you truly lay your cheek on the stock. Most shooters I've seen compensate by slightly lifting their cheek off the stock. They've done it so long they don't even realize it. I made my own custom cheek piece and covered it with 3M camo wrap. Blends in with the stock and perfectly aligned.
