Duty tax

Post by Mo-hunter »

If you order a crossbow from Canada and have it shipped to the United States, is there a duty tax on it?
Thanks

There is no duty due the 'Free Trade' between Canada, USA and Mexico but it has to be made in one of those countries. No problem with excalibur ask shipper to supply Country of Origin. There maybe a local sales tax to pay when it entries into the USA but that is on your side not the Canadian side.

If you want correct answer ask US Customs. Free Trade does not include much Free anything. If it is Duty exempt on US side you will still have Fed and State taxes added.

I bought a Mad Max 380 from Al Flaherty's a couple of months ago. Had it shipped to Michigan with no extra charges. Except my credit card charged me an extra $20 for the transaction.
